Key Information for Clients

Your privacy and trust are of utmost importance.

All information shared during the sessions will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality and on commencement of therapy we will sign a contract with the details of this. This means that what you talk about in the session will not be shared with anyone without your consent, except in the following circumstances:

  • A legal requirement where there is risk of harm to yourself or to others or if there is a court order (such as in cases of child abuse or neglect).
  • For supervision and training. To ensure that I provide the best possible service, I may discuss your case with a supervisor but your identity will remain anonymous.
  • Emergency Situations. If there is an immediate risk of harm to you or someone else, I may need to breach confidentiality to ensure appropriate action is taken.

Your safety and well-being are paramount. If it becomes clear that there are concerns regarding your safety, or if you disclose any form of abuse or neglect, I have a duty of care to take appropriate action. This may include:

  1. Immediate Action: If there is a risk of harm, I will take immediate steps to address the situation, including contacting relevant support services or authorities to protect you or others involved.
  2. Reporting Safeguarding Concerns: If I have concerns about your welfare or the welfare of others (e.g., children, vulnerable adults), I may be required by law to report these concerns to safeguarding authorities.

  • You have the right to be informed about any limits to confidentiality, and you will be made aware when confidentiality needs to be breached.
  • You have the right to ask questions about confidentiality or safeguarding procedures at any time.
  • You have the right to withdraw consent for information sharing unless it is required for safety or legal reasons.

Sessions cost £70 for 50 minutes and I ask that sessions are paid for 24hours in advance, where I will send out an email or a text to help remind you of this.

I am based in Walton on Thames in Surrey with my home therapy room but I am also happy to offer online sessions.

Each session is 50 minutes long and we would typically meet once a week. Sessions can be held in my private counselling room or online, but your needs and preferences can be agreed once we start working together.

My counselling service is for both adults and children who feel they need support across many different areas such as anxiety and stress, depression, trauma, relationship issues and exploration of personal growth.  I also have experience working with children who are struggling with school and the pressures of the school experience. I have a lot of experience within the school setting to also help parents navigate the education system and can provide parental support both emotionally and practically in this area.

All sessions are confidential, and we will sign a contract at the beginning of our work to set out in detail the terms of confidentiality. In some scenarios, I may be obliged to break confidentiality, and we will discuss this together if this situation occurs.
